It is time to choose where you wish to live, in a world that wants to break down and destroy what has been built, like the terrorists that go around destroying beautiful monuments of peace, or a person who holds tight to the all encompassing truth that is love. Only through understanding and listening to each other can we move past the illusion and fear and become divine protectors of love. The Sun forms a trine to Neptune this morning and is followed by a Mars-Neptune semi-square. This may cause you to struggle with your perceptions early today. There can be some lack of drive or disorganization experienced now and a de-emphasis on practicality. Energy and time are too easily wasted. Be careful as you can experience passive-aggressiveness in yourselves and others, largely because it's difficult to know what you want and where the world is headed. The Moon continues its transit of Scorpio until 10:43 AM EDT when it enters Sagittarius. As the day advances, motivation and energy levels increase. I used to think that I had to rush and struggle to be someone and to make a difference in the world. In truth you just need to find your core energy and move from that core. It reduces the stress tremendously and the energy it takes to move through a day becomes more organic and easy. I see the world out of touch with itself and each person’s individual truth. That creates a world in an extreme place of dysfunction and a lack of inner and outer balance. When you are not in touch with your core, you grab onto things that others say and you want to believe them because you are hollow and empty inside…desperate to fill that void even if you fill it with garbage and lies of others. This is a moment of awakening for the planet and yourself if you are willing to feel into the emptiness inside and choose to fill it with your own wisdom and not the half truths and projections of others. It takes a great will power to move into the pain of the inner emptiness and find what you are afraid you are missing. You are not missing it. You have just avoided the personal responsibility that it takes to become a whole, conscious person. The world needs those who are strong enough to resist the illusions and feel into the place of authentic personal truth. What a beautiful world we could create if we all moved from that center. It would be a world of respect and honoring of the complex gifts and energies that each of us came to give this world.

I felt in this world of so much conflict that using a quote from a fairy tale might be appropriate. Remember, that this world is a creation game. We are creating it with our mind, our desires, our projections, and with what we need to learn. Today, try to not take all of it so seriously. Lighter is always better. Be a peace with what the world is offering you at this time and just allow it to sit in a place of calm acceptance and love. Allow this energy to mature into great wisdom. Often that takes time. You see the drama being inflamed into destructive weapons that only cause more suffering and solve nothing. What does it take for humanity to step out of that protective, destructive, tendency and to choose to listen to each other with open hearts and minds? Clearly we are still not there. What do you need to do to feel empowered to move towards the issues that you have passion about? How can you find the motivation to shift into a functional place rather than a dysfunctional stupor? Being in a place of functional change right now is essential to shifting this negative pattern into movement forward. None of us can go back to the past, no matter how much we might want and long for it. We have to be willing to shift, adjust, and accept this moment for what it is. It is election season and regardless of who you are favoring for the election just know that there are going to be those that are very disappointed as there is always a winner and looser. Whatever happens I am hoping that finally we can all choose to work together for a better country whose government is not stagnated by those who refuse to cooperate and work together. Life is about compromises and everyone has had to make them at different times in their life. Rarely do we get exactly what we want but life is about learning to take what the universe is offering and then making something unique and special out of it.

I believe in human ingenuity and the creative free spirit that is the United States of America (special emphasis on the United part). Let us all come together and drop the shields where we have put out our positions, sides, and beliefs and remember that first and foremost we are a hodgepodge of people from all races, cultures, and creeds. What we have created here in the United States is unique in the world and let us show the rest of the world how to put differences aside and find where we are the same and how we can work together to build a better world.

This month, the cards indicate that it is time to put aside the petty fighting and look to the larger world issues that affect not just us but all of life on this planet. Together we can create a world of potential and promise for our families but we have to hold hands to do that.

Take a look at the manipulations that you have been using to justify your feelings and instead of manipulating, why not just feel your feelings all the way through until they get to the bottom of what you are afraid of seeing inside of you. Projection is always about a disowned internal part that is trying to get our attention and this last year many of us have had to take a hard look at who we thought we were and who we might actually be. For some of us that was a difficult wake up call but one that was essential for our growth and development.

This is a moment to learn when to speak and when to listen. When to observe and allow others to reveal his or her deeper intent rather than react and shut the process of truth down in your need to express your opinion. Listening is an art that takes trust and self-confidence. Listening takes patience. Listening requires you to be fully with the other person and not thinking about how to respond.

Observation is essential to find truth. Step out of yourself and step into another person’s perspective, ideas, and expression. You will always learn much more that way.

Many of the cards this month refer to the need to retreat, withdraw, observe, or focus on compassion for yourself first as you are on a sacred journey into the deepest places of your soul. Neptune is going to be in Pisces until 2028 and that is going to give each of us an opportunity to dive deep and discover the hidden treasures and resources that are available if we are willing to face the fear of the unknown. It is difficult to let the past go. It is even more difficult to let the stories of the past go that you have been telling again and again to justify what you are feeling.

This month there is great confusion as to what the true reality is. Don’t expect a quick answer as we are all learning to swim in the stormy waters of Neptune. The only way through is to trust your soul and allow your heart to be the compass that guides you through that storm.

This is a time for contemplation to discover how you are like the things that draw your attention. Those things that pull at you whether they be crystals, sound, meditation, creative things, etc. are a reflection of who you really are. When you want to be calm and clear like a Buddha you embody that feeling and that energy and then you discover that within you has always been a Buddha waiting patiently to emerge.

Take some time for yourself. Go slowly into this new space and when you do you will discover an untapped resource of energy that is powerful and stronger because your mind is no longer in the way blocking the purest expression of who you really are.

Take some of that energy that you have been using to fight the world and instead turn that focus into loving yourself fully and completely. Then from a place of feeling full of love, take that energy out into the world and share what comes from your authentic self. If each of us did that, the world would be an amazing place to be.

10/25/16 is the number 8. With this emotionally sad and depressing number 8, I am grateful that on Sunday we began this week with a Moon in Leo. This helped set a tone for a more creative and playful way of being. Today is a good day to take some personal time as Venus challenges Neptune making this a good time for daydreaming, hanging out and watching a movie. The Moon is in productive Virgo today and part of tomorrow, so do your best to not give yourself a guilt trip as you attempt to de-stress from all this intensity. Wednesday will be a better work day and so you will be able to catch up there. Sometimes you have to feel into the flow of energy and right now more healing is being asked of you over productivity. Just an early reminder that Thursday you will feel as if no one is listening to you and it is an odd day so you might feel irritable and not your best self. The number 8 makes your feelings more on the surface and a place of deep exhaustion seems much more on the surface today. Every day there are people fighting for their very life. There are people out there who struggle to put food on the table and to make ends meet. Take a moment and be grateful for your life and what you have. Recognize that you do not need to make up stories about how bad your life is and how bad the future will be. Life is life and it is about the natural ups and downs but never have you been safer and more protected on this planet than now. Breathe that in and know that you can choose to experience peace over pain. You can tell yourself stories that can make you crazy or you can consciously seek to find what is good and beautiful about life. Be a seeker of the good in life and humanity. Being the person who is always a dark cloud of negativity ultimately pushes others away from you. There is plenty of places for improvement in all areas of life but always having a pessimistic view creates additional blocks that are unnecessary and a waste of energy to navigate.

Step away from the media drama and remember that you are a human being in a beautiful world. Step outside and feel into the shifts in the weather and contemplate your own life in a way that is positive and life fulfilling. It is easy to be negative but it is hard to keep the truth close to your heart and to recognize that even though the world has been through a lot since the downturn in 2008, America is still the best place in the world to live. I have lived, worked and traveled the world over and I cannot imagine living in another place in the world at this time. It is not that other countries aren’t amazing in their own way but what America offers is still the most unique qualities of freedom and innovation. Regardless of the challenges I believe in our ability to work together and to find the answers to problems. Yes, it might be challenging but I believe that we can grow and continue to be the world leader in the creative innovation and the positive qualities of democracy. Yes, we have made a lot of mistakes but that is how we learn and that is the motivation for continued change. Being able to adjust is the marker to successful life for everyone.

The Leo Moon (that happens later today), brings out the inner entertainer and the feeling of expressing yourself and being seen. The Sun enters Scorpio tonight, where it will transit until November 21st. Scorpio is the sign of depth, intimacy, and extremes of feeling. Superficial will simply not do during this cycle. As I was driving over the past few days I had a series of interesting experiences. The first one was that as I was leaving Utah there was a terrible accident between a military transport and a double Fed-Ex truck. It happened at 3 am and the news said it would be cleared by 7:30 am. I left about 11:45 am not thinking that the highway would be closed but it was. I sat for 3 plus hours as I watched asphalt truck after asphalt truck roll by. Finally I spoke to a nice police officer and he said that the explosion took a huge chunk out of the highway and they had to repair it. Once we got going you could see the level of problem and horrible situation that had happened. I passed by and sent love and light to all those who were personally impacted by such a terrible tragedy. As I continued on, I stopped at a gas station to do the normal things one does as you are on the road and as I came out of the bathroom, I looked at my car, and I could have sworn that I saw a man sitting in the passenger side of my car patiently waiting for me. He had light colored clothes on. Not bright white but light and I could not see his face. As I came to the side door and opened the door, of course there was no one inside. I sat down and put my hand out to the side and patted this imaginary being and said, “Thank you for coming along on the ride and keeping me safe.” It was very comforting to know that someone was with me. As I was almost into Reno the same thing had happened. An accident with a double truck was in the median and traffic was stopped again. I was grateful once again, that I was not right there when it happened. I sent prayers to all those involved and continued on my way. This is the reminder today, that you are never alone. There is always a guide or angel assisting you on your journey, even when you do not know it. Stay open, listen to those subtle messages, and know that you are protected.

Extremes are necessary to see when life is so out of balance that you finally choose peace over conflict, truth over illusion, and you make a conscious choice to not collapse out of fear but stand facing into the strong wind, willing to take on whatever comes at you, but steadfast in a choice that moves you in the direction of supporting a world that everyone would want to live in. We are moving in the energy of a Cancer Moon and so great food and spending time with those you really life is the very thing that will rejuvenate you back into a more balanced self. Very early today, the Sun forms a semi-square to Saturn, and there can be blocks to forward movement or obstacles in your way. You may be seeing the glass half empty and your energy might not be what you need for forward progression. Late morning, a Mercury-Neptune minor challenging aspect can also point to skewed perceptions, except that you are more likely to perceive situations in an impractical or overly optimistic way. On the highway I was noticing the splendor of this time of the year. As we go into the energy of “All Hallows Eve” it is that time of the year that the spiders send their babies off in a parachute of spiders webs. It is beautiful to watch as they fly out in front of the car as the wind buffets and carries them off to a new place and a new seeding of life. That is why the decorations on Halloween are the spider’s webs. If you have lived in a place where they don’t use pesticides to kill everything, you will see the trees covered with the webs. As the season’s change and the big winds begin to blow, it is magical in the morning and evening light to see the fertility process of life happening as the darkness descends and the light dissipates.

10/20/16 is the number 3. Keeping a positive attitude might be a full time job today as the aggravating atmosphere of the ongoing Mars/Pluto conjunction from yesterday begins to separate. This type of configuration becomes more challenging as it separates and the brute force of conflict from those with strong opinions will become like sledge hammers over your head. This energy begins to feel like if you will not agree with another they will beat their opinion into your head. Expect conflict in a multitude of ways and attempt to stay open and flexible to an overriding onslaught of perception and prejudice. Brute force may work on a temporary basis but growth does not happen this way as a consistent form of transition. Instead, use this energy to focus your mind and heart in what may seem like super-human effort to accomplish tasks at hand that serve the greater good.  Protect your heart as this energy can add such stress that health issues can magnify if you do not remain calm. Mercury opposes Uranus early today, and you can be a little confrontational and rebellious in your communications. Disagreements with others are entirely possible. It's not the time to present an argument or an important idea but the friction stimulated now can challenge you to learn more about your mind and opinions. Epiphanies and unusual ideas can occur now. Just attempt to use this energy for the good of others. The Moon continues its transit of Gemini until 11:29 AM EDT, when it enters Cancer and restlessness gives way to an instinctive need for peace and quiet. However, later today, it can be difficult to find nourishment if you are looking outside of yourself for it, as you can be at odds with one another regarding what you need and crave.

I watched miracles happen last weekend at the Shades of Intimacy Workshop and I so wish to create a world where intimate connection in healthy ways could become the norm for our society and this beautiful planet. When we strip away the prejudice and projection underneath we are all one heart and one love. We are all challenged to open and connect with others in authentic ways and we all want to be seen and witnessed for the gifts we carry and are compelled to share with others. But do you notice the behaviors that support that opening with others or those behaviors that are dysfunctional? It is often very difficult to see the actions that either push people away from us or allow that magnetic attraction to bring us together. It takes a brave person to ask the question, “What am I doing that makes you move away from me?” It takes courage to listen to their answer and sort through where that is true from their slant or projection.
