October 1st is the number 10. We are fully engaged in shifting a multitude of energies into different places. We are finally in the separating phase of the fractious Mars/Saturn square that has been causing so much confusion and lack of mental clarity. As this very challenging aspect finally leaves be careful to not go into meltdown if you can possibly avoid it. Realize that the atmosphere is still hyper-excited with opinion and self-importance still. Awareness is the key to programming your mind to a new way of moving through hard times. We can look up to a upcoming Jupiter/Pluto trine which will not be exact until mid-October. This will creates a positive and beneficial actions towards change, allow a new balance of power to shift, even if it is in small ways. This morning, Mars forms a sesquiquadrate with Uranus, and there is a small tendency to take risks or to act on sudden impulses without considering consequences. Life's circumstances could challenge you in such a way that you need to change your goals or actions or you may be in need of change and might switch things up. The Moon continues its transit of Taurus until 4:04 PM EDT, when it enters more diversified and curious Gemini. The desire to reach out and make connections can grab hold now.

Sagittarius is the section of the zodiac where we search for truth, contemplate belief systems, celebrate classical traditions, and point our arrows to Higher Aims. Pluto’s journey through Sagittarius from 1995-2008 brought fundamentalism and all its myopic literalism, born of chronic misunderstanding and fear, to the surface of daily life. In the United States it was primarily Christian fundamentalism. Now it is fundamentalism of every variety. Since Pluto’s transit of Sagittarius, we’ve been attempting, at least from a collective perspective, to understand how to include a wide variety of belief systems, some of which posit violence and hatred as a way of life. There is no “one-way and one-way only” that will save us from ourselves. My hope is that as Saturn turns its discerning eye toward the issues of literalism, we will gain greater insights and clarity. Saturn won’t be able to clean up the religious mess, but it will provide support for thoughtful processes that could allow a deeper appreciation of how we can shift the emphasis away from what separates us and concentrate instead on what unites. Saturn is a stern taskmaster but also our greatest teacher. Sagittarius symbolizes our desire to synthesize instinct and intellect, as well as the aspiration to integrate the material with the spiritual. The combination of these astral forces could bring greater understanding about our next evolutionary steps.

September 30th is the number 20. The duality of the number 2/20 reminds you to find how you can serve humanity. Yes, the last few weeks have been intense for many. The astrology has taken things to a new level and so much has happened in a short time. So having said all that, are you paying attention to this moment? If life has taught me anything, is that even being a psychic and feeling into the shifts and changes that are coming in the future, when they arrive, there is always a sense of surprise. Life always shows you how much you do not yet know or understand about the method and madness of the cosmic soup in which we live. It only takes one moment to shift the reality and your perspective completely. It is in those moments that you have to let go of the “perceived” control you think you have and trust in a bigger pattern that has a very different agenda than your own personal and narrow needs. In the long run, the universe has a better idea. You just often don’t realize that as everything is shifting. Let go of what you need to have as an outcome that will prove that you are in control or that you are right. Needing validation for your perspective is actually quite a child like projection onto the world. All of us need to wake up and allow life to help us grow up also.

Intuitive Patterns for the Month of October 2015

Are you listening to your family? Now I don’t mean necessarily your biological family but your spiritual family. As we move into the fall and we have finally have gotten past those darn eclipses you would think that there would be a moment as we enter into the new season that we could have a chance to reconnect to what is really important. Looking at the fact that the first week we are still in a Mercury Retrograde in Libra, I believe that we are longing for the balance but struggling to find out how to exactly do that. There is wisdom at times to be somewhat blind to the outcome so that the longing of our soul begins to reach beyond our mind and body and into the essence of creation. There are many out there that are feeling lost, alone, and in fear of the future.

The clarity will come when you use the Owl Medicine to see beyond your own self-deception. Within all of us are the dark and hidden parts of ourself that can sabotage our external and conscious self. It is time to seek out the darkness that has been lurking in your shadows. It is time to call those parts into the light and allow them to show you the depth and potential that they have been holding in silence. Peace comes when you look beyond the known and into the unloved and untouched parts of your psyche. The answer is not readily available in this month but it can be uncovered and discovered if you are willing to trust the intuitive flow and pay attention to the signs and omens that are speaking to you in your dreams and from those inner voices that seem demanding to be heard.

The quality of movement is in the medicine of the Squirrel. You have to be prepared. You have to save up some energy for something that will be coming a bit later. This is your moment to gather together all the pieces of energy, love, and light because you are going to need that energy later. When is unclear but you would be wise to save for that time in the future where you will need all your resources. You are being told to ready yourself for change.

Now, I know most of you are really tired of all the shifting that each of you has been through over these past grueling 8 years. But astrologically we are not done. It is time to lighten the load, simplify, and restructure around what is most important for you.

You do not need to fear the future you only need to let go of the past. The subtle energy body is demanding you to pay attention to it. There is great power when you step outside of the obvious world and into the patterns of energy that run constantly below the surface.

There is a flow. This will all make sense later. Meditation becomes an essential practice to be able to watch the patterns of your thoughts without become swept up in them. It is time to retreat to find that inner clarity.

You may find with the archtype of Manik that it is time to finally finish something. Completion is going to be difficult because you are being asked to complete without the outcome you have desired and longed for. But in this month, taking on too much is going to make you feel scattered, overwhelmed, and pressured. Step back or step away for a moment till you find the center and recognize that your ego is not in control of the outcome. You ego need to be released into a bigger truth unveiling now.

September 29th is the number 10. Thank goodness we are past the numerological “dark night of the soul” and have passed into the space of New Beginnings, as well as, being finally past the eclipse energy. During this pass of so many planetary energies we have had much good and much bad. Eclipses are all about death and rebirth and that last one was a doozy. Looking in the external world we had the wonderful touch of Pope Francis to remind us that in our hearts we are all one and we had the Dalai Lama have to cancel his American trip because of health issues and in the Mayo Clinic to stabilize this other wonderful man of spiritual energy and light. A perfect example of the duality that all of us have been feeling. There is great good in the world but this pattern is a reminder that none of us are immune to the ravages of time and age. It is time for all of us to look ahead and plan for the inevitable future where (at this point) we should know that circumstances would catch us off guard. This morning's semi-square between retrograde Mercury and Venus occurred on August 28th while Mercury was direct. You can be sensitive to what's said or not said now, and can also have some difficulty focusing on work or facts. Tonight, Mercury forms a quincunx with Neptune. (The Sun and Mercury will meet tomorrow and the Sun will also form a quincunx to Neptune.) You may be revisiting a past decision, possibly with some regret or guilt. It can be difficult to combine logic and intuition in a cohesive manner. Alternatively, You may be daydreaming at the expense of productivity and clear communication.

As the sun rules me, eclipses can hit me like a ton of bricks because eclipses always include the sun and moon. I am just grateful that this cycle is over. Not only have I been busy with many struggling with this energy but I also felt this breaking down of the old to rebuild the new frustrating and challenging. The added Mercury retrograde did not help in the communication of feelings and ideas. Misunderstandings seemed to happen regardless of how consistent and clear any of us tried to be. It is in moments like this that vulnerability and authentic emotions can sometimes break through others walls and defensive postures. Everyone has their own feelings that they have to deal with in all exchanges and encounters. Mistakes happen when you are not aware of what you are feeling and when you block or shut down authentic expression then others feel not received, heard, or understood. Those moments become places to breath, go slow, try again, and find the words that open hearts.

Thank goodness for the power of imagination. Pretty much all the things we use and take for granted were at first just a crazy idea or a dream of a possibility. Look at Leonardo da Vinci. He dreamed of a flying machine and his idea was sound but it did not work because wood was too heavy to create lift. It took centuries later when aluminum and steel could replace the wood that his idea actually worked. Sometimes what seems possible is possible, it just has to work through many steps that take a maturity of time and technology to make a dream into a reality. So don’t stop dreaming. Don’t stop believing. But keep a grounded approach and know that things can take more time than you realize. You might be one piece in the puzzle but you may or may not live to see the manifestation of that dream. But that does not mean to not try. All effort in life is rewarded at some point. We are all here to learn and grow. We are here to try to create a world of peace. That takes time and effort from all of us.

I want to continue the talk about this eclipse. The energy coming into it has been more intense for me personally that the solar eclipse on Sept 12^th.  So many around me are feeling this spirit of, “I have to take care of myself.” That is because this eclipse is in Aries. Aries wants to spring into action and moves you with a type of powerful and courageous enthusiasm. It is time to initiate something new. You are redefining yourself and right now you can see where the shadow is coving your light. What that means is that you have to face what you fear and actively look at the parts of yourself that you are trying to avoid or not look at. The shadow is staring you right in the face and it will not back down. You have no other choice but to break down the old and deal with the pain and depth of that loss. It is not going to be easy but if you do not heed the lessons and messages on this day over the next 6 months things will only intensify. Mars has also moved into the analytical earth sign of Virgo and this full moon is in a trine from Saturn. This is a reminder that this experience is not going to be easy. It is going to require work to have the long lasting change that is required of you.  You have to break with the past in order to heal your self. It is time to be invested in yourself. You are being asked to look within. You are being asked to give something up that is precious to you. What-ever that is, it is too heavy to carry any further. September 26th is the number 7. It is time to implement the plan that is in front of you. Just remember that tomorrow is the big eclipse and disruption should be a part of your plan. Life will always present twists and turns in the game and all you can do is flow with it. In truth, it is a waste of energy to stress out about it. You are going to have to just go with the flow regardless. All you can do is minimize the drama by controlling the mental garbage that wants to roll around in that head. At least you should know that you are not alone in the mish-mash that is happening. Many are very stressed right now and things are just not going according to plan. That is not really as bad as it sounds. Translated that means that things are not going according to the mental pictures that you have invested so much time and energy on. But if that is not in alignment with the bigger flow then you have to bow to the force of the bigger will at this time, which will always be the Divine. Right now it feels like you are a small pickup truck but a Mac Truck is on your tail and you are going to have to give it the right of way. There really is no discussion. The Mac truck is bigger and you will lose if you press the point. That is how it feels today. The eclipse is pressing you to surrender and give way to a larger energy. So stay awake. You don’t know where that Mac truck is going to come from but it is on its way. Stay alert. Get ready to make a big shift and you will be able to follow behind that speeding energy and hook into the draft of the bigger energy. This will save you a ton of energy in the long run but at first you have to be very precise and acutely aware of the moves that are going to be necessary to make a smooth change.

September 25th is the number 6. Do you feel like you want to go hide in a cave somewhere? Well you are not alone. A few days ago I did the image for hibernation but as this astrology heats up as we are moving towards that eclipse on the 27^th in Aries the unexpected is happening in droves. Yes, it takes center and creativity to get this happening and moving. Yes, it takes a willingness to brainstorm in the new patterns that are presenting. And yes, it will take everything you have to move through it. This is where I say to my more delicate archetypes, “You might want to go hide until this storm has passed.” Unfortunately most of us are going to feel like we are “out” in that storm facing ferocious winds and pounding waves as the life-force energy wants to mold us into what we need to become. Finding the pathways through to our authentic self are always filled with destructive moments and we are definitely in one of them. Find that center and do your best to observe and allow the patterns to unwrap your true potential. Pluto is stationing today, turning direct after many months of retrograde activity, adding intensity to all that we do and feel. All things Pluto are emphasized today. Over the coming weeks and months, your powers to make deep changes in your life become less internalized and more insistent and direct. Nature being the church is a great way to go today. As the unexpected looms the old rules no longer apply, so where do you land? What do you call “home” or the safe place to be? That is where I fall into the patterns of nature. Everything in life has to adjust to the unexpected. My father had a favorite phrase, “Always have a backup plan!” Boy is that a true statement in the highest sense of the reality. I have lived my life from that place and I am so grateful to my father for that saving concept. So often others leave you in the lurch and you find yourself holding the bag. But thanks to my father, I don’t have a trigger because I understand the nature of life in this dimension is to learn how to change and grow with the pushes and pulls of the tides in life. There are always failures when you deal with humanity. So there is no “personal” energy there. There is no need to get upset because human nature tends to move from its own narrow perspective and needs. That is the reality and completely normal. Each person’s pain is more important than anyone or anything else. Being able to step out of your own narrow reflection and see beyond into a bigger picture and see the part that you are playing or not takes great effort and awareness. Don’t worry! You are going to fail repeatedly. All of us fall into the traps of our own density. It is not a problem, it is expected. All you have to do is when you awaken to see where you have fallen under the spell of the density, just bring yourself with love and gentleness back into the present moment and continue the journey to wakefulness.

September 24th is the number 5. It is all about getting grounded. Earth is our home and without the ground underneath you could not do this dance of life and passion. Look at the miracles that are happening all around. Look to the acceptance and understanding that is expanding in your life. No it is not exactly what you thought it was going to be but life is full of surprises and changes. It is up to us to see the signs, move with the flow that is presenting, and follow compassion and grace. The Moon transits Aquarius all day. Mercury squares Pluto this evening, and the tendency to read between the lines with a negative slant is strong today. With Pluto coming to a direct station, this aspect will feel a little stronger. Suspiciousness, making mountains out of molehills, telling others only what you want them to know are possible troubles now. There is a tendency to worry and obsess. What a cycle this past month has been. Not only just for me but for many. Being in-between the eclipses has taken many from one perspective into another. I am sure it has come to quite a shock to all of you in the journey but there were no other options but change. Learning to follow the flow and accept what is presenting is at times very challenging. Mostly to the ego but there is a point where the ego is no longer a factor and you see things for what they are. From that place of no longer fighting the ego the answer is simple. Take a look at what in your life has run its course. Enjoy the experience and the feeling that it gave you and appreciate all those around you who were a part of that journey. Then allow that memory and energy enhance your life and to give it meaning. Life is about change and it is important to allow things to have their moment in the sun and then to let the next pattern emerge from the process of letting go. You cannot grasp new things when you are hanging onto the old. There is something new ahead. You may not yet be able to see what that is but in time, it the right and divine time, it will come. Now it is time to rest, rejuvenate and allow that seed inside to sprout.

September 23rd is the number 22/4. Balance is the key to all things. Learning how to stay centered in the middle of storms is what life is all about. Storms always pass but the stories you make up about them are where the mental patterns of ego and judgment can trap you. Today, realize that the storms are there to bring balance back into a situation where illusion has reigned supreme for a bit too long. Reality has to set in and there are moments when having your feet grabbed and pulling you down to the ground can be not only shocking but also very uncomfortable. Try to enjoy the discomfort that change always brings but also enjoy feeling that as the house of cards collapses, you will discover a new level of grounding and stability as you once again choose to rebuild. The Sun enters Libra this morning, where it will transit until October 23rd. Libra rules relationships with others as mirrors of ourselves. Meeting others halfway, compromise, and negotiation come under the rule of Libra. The focus is now on balance - finding balance and harmony through relationships with others and through art. September 22nd is the number 3. The creative flow seems a bit more in alignment than it has in a few days.  There is more energy to run with and that will be very helpful right now. There is a positive upswing in the emotional mood of the day and things that seemed not possible are more possible. The Moon is in Capricorn all day, and its alignment with Pluto this morning can especially motivate you to structure your life in better ways such that you feel more in control and on top of things. A trine between Venus and Uranus midday opens you up to new ideas and possibilities, and even to new loves as your tastes go through a mini update of sorts. You are attracted to that which is new, unusual, and out-of-the-ordinary with regards to romantic involvements, financial undertakings, and pleasurable pursuits. Yesterday I went to a Buddhist Dakini Empowerment in Arcada California. It was the first time it has been offered in the United States and it has been very interesting. I love ritual and tradition. Those things are tools to focus your intention. After the empowerment we were supposed to have a dream and we were supposed to pay attention to the dream and mine was that I was going to need to slow down a bit more than I have. Aging is an interesting thing. You notice the body making a choice and a series of decisions for you and years ago I moved to California and in all honesty, I slowed down for probably the first time in my life. It felt good and enjoyable. But it seems it is time to slow down again. Perhaps it is time to go back to more writing and putting ideas to paper. Regardless it will be interesting to see what evolves. Today take a look at your own person places where you overdo, over-indulge, and pull yourself out of an organic alignment with your highest self.
