9/30/17 is the number 4. As the planet attempts to reclaim its own balance with all the hurricanes, earthquakes, and volcanos, each of us also is being asked to look at our own internal and external imbalances. Notice where your life is a volcano or an endless storm. Learn to be at one with the chaos and the flow and know that that energy is necessary to propel you out of your old self and into a new self. You are being born into a more expanded version of who you are. The old shell is a skin that has become too tight and constrictive. Thus, you will need to break out of that skin and expand. There is a vulnerability when such things are happening and often you feel that you cannot see the way through. You will not be able to see until you are willing to go through the growth phase, shed the old and dying skin that is over your eyes and emerge from the darkness and confinement into the light and clarity of your expanded self.
The Moon ends its transit of Capricorn and enters Aquarius early in the day, at 12:41 AM EDT. The Aquarius Moon draws out a more humanitarian impulse in all of us and a desire to be progressive and innovative. Venus is semi-square Jupiter this morning, hooking into the energy of the recent Jupiter-Uranus opposition, creating a feeling of restlessness in your relationships. When it comes to people and things, watch that you aren't idealizing what you believe you deserve but have not earned. Instead honor what you have and practice the attitude of gratitude. Be careful as this can be a time of dramatic statements and impulsive actions. Do your best to not exaggerate or overstate what you are feeling or promise more than you can deliver. As you can see the tendency to overdo is very strong. However, you can also tap into a need for change and improvement and tame your impulses to go overboard. It's easier to settle down, go with the flow, and cooperate when the Sun and Moon form a trine this afternoon.

10/1/17 is the number 3. A positive attitude is something that is always helpful in moving from one big energy into another. And this month with Jupiter moving from Libra (where it was showing you all the imbalances in life to help you break out of illusions), soon it will move into Scorpio on the 10^th and stay for about 13 months. This requires you to go deep inside and discover places that you have tucked away and hidden from yourself. It is now time to open to seeing what is really blocking you from the forward movement that your mind believes is possible. Know that this is why such a positive attitude is going to be important. For the next year, you are going down into the deep abyss of the subconscious to unravel the emotional mechanisms that have made you stuck.
The big news of October is god of thunder Jupiter entering emotionally intense Scorpio for a year, beginning on the 10th. In early October, first look back on changing relationships since September 2016 when Jupiter started his path through Libra. Because there are other major planets shifting into new signs in 2018, you can look at Jupiter’s shift as the opening shot of bigger changes to come. Jupiter transforms belief systems, and Scorpio takes you down to the emotional depths of your being, that vulnerable place. Scorpio will require you make some big choices in the coming year, not all of them easy! The first 13 days of October has both Venus and Mars in Virgo. If you are willing to do a little extra work, it will pay off. Venus moves into Libra on the 14th and Mars follows suit on the 22nd. The tone will move towards putting more emphasis on your relationships, all types of relationships including your relationship with money and possessions. Halloween is a bit of a dud this year with the Moon being in its quiet void-of-course phase from mid-afternoon into late evening on the 31st. Of course, a void moon is good for introspective work on the night the veils are at their thinnest between this world and the next. The 27th and 28th are better party days to bring out your inner goblin under an eccentric Aquarius moon. Mars trines Pluto on Sunday afternoon, giving you extra physical energy to transform something in your life. The astrology today gives you more determination and adds a stronger feeling of purpose. There is more of a willingness to explore alternatives rather than simply relying on the tried and true. Don’t be afraid of a challenge and be ready to overcome obstacles along the path. This is intense energy for reworking or overhauling a project. So you might feel as if even you need some sort of personal or physical overhaul. The Moon is in Aquarius all day, and it's a good time to break out of a rigid routine or way of thinking, network, brainstorm, update, and connect.

If you have not noticed, logic has gone out the window and I might as well warn you that you cannot expect to get it back anytime soon.
Let me start with my title for this month, “The Eruption of Maya”.
The Buddhist term, “Maya” translates to “pretense” or “deceit”. Within the Mahayana Abhidharma teachings, this is defined as those who pretend to exhibit or claim to have a good quality in which they are actually sorely lacking.
Presently in our culture you have those who live within the illusion of their own mind that they are following certain, “teachings” and that they believe they are good people because they are doing what their teacher, speakers, etc are telling them. But you must learn to always feel beyond the words and into the substance of what someone says and then do your own research to discover the truth or falseness of that teachers’ beliefs or projections.
I am calling this month, The Eruption of Maya”, because clearly right now there are many volcanos erupting and tens of thousands of people are being displaced because of being in areas that are dangerous. But everyone is actually in a very dangerous place and that is what the Earth is attempting to tell us.
Crisis and terrible things happen to everyone regardless of their beliefs, culture, or religion. There is a spewing of lies and deception flowing all over everything not allowing for clarity of mind and a progression of compassion, love, and connection.
When we have a world of leaders who practice as a normal daily offering, “deceit” they perpetuate a world of karmic suffering and pain.
What is deceit? It is a display of what is not a real quality and is associated with both passion and lust, with a desire for wealth and honor. The function of deceit is to provide the basis for a perverse life-style.
The experience you are having right now is “like” an illusion. Notice I did not say it “was” or “is” an illusion. Life is a process of making mistakes in how we understand what we experience. But even the experience is an illusion. Experience allows you to gain deeper insight into something and embody that lesson physically not just mentally. But even experience is a magic show of sorts. Becoming truly spiritual involves rolling up all the illusions you define as you, one by one, until there is nothing left but love, compassion, acceptance, and truth.
Thus, you are no longer distracted by the “magic” show of others and do not get caught up into the stories, projections, and words of another whose purpose is to deceive in order to take your energy.

9/29/17 is the number 3. And the roller coaster continues. What will it take for you to step off that ride? Can any of us figure a way to step off the ride? The world is in a place of transition and because we are of this world, we get to go with that shift. Regardless of the obvious issues, you have to find a pace that you can stay on and feel as if you are consciously aware and constructive in a pattern moving forward. Just remember that these patterns right now are so fluid with Neptune in Pisces and you must remain constantly alert and make small and large adjustments when necessary. It is very positive when you recognize that you can do more than just survive in trying times. Waking up into a higher state of conscious awareness can allow you to thrive.
On Friday evening, it will be important to know the difference between romance and fantasy thinking, both in love and in any get rich quick schemes. Mercury moves into Libra for three weeks on Friday, expanding communications in relationships which at this point are very important and much needed. The Moon spends the day in Capricorn. Venus opposes Neptune today, and if you have been indiscriminate with money, indulgences, and relationships, problems might emerge. Uncertainty in Venus-ruled areas of life (romance, social life, and finances) can be prominent now. There can be a veil over your eyes, and you can be seduced into believing what you want to believe rather than what is real and tangible. Romantic and idealistic imagination will be very enticing to your mind and soul. Expect to be especially put off by anything vulgar or harsh. Take a look at where your life has become dysfunctional as it is time to give up on any unrealistic ideal so that you can have constructive movement in some much-needed areas. There is a high level of emotional vulnerability and so you are more susceptible to deceit or self-delusion. If possible, it may be best to delay significant decision-making regarding social and romantic involvements, as well as finances, as you are unlikely to be seeing these things clearly. Also, today, Mercury enters Libra where it will transit until October 17th. During this cycle, you bring a more rational approach to one-to-one relationships. Thus, you are feeling a bit diplomatic and friendly, and want to come across as being fair. It's a good time to think about ways to improve your negotiation skills. In an attempt to see both sides of any given situation, Mercury in Libra can be a vacillating energy. Decisions don't come easily or quickly. You may too easily accommodate others' opinions to keep the peace. However, this is a good period for considering others' points of view.

If you want the world to change there are certain things that have to go before those big shifts externally. First is love. Love can hold other pieces together even when other parts collapse. Feeling loved, gives you energy and faith that you can make it through a difficult time. It gives you energy when you are in moments when you do not think you can continue. Second is proper access to food and a healthy diet. Brains in children struggle to develop properly if there is not adequate nutrition. Food is one critical element to allow a person to feel safe, function well, and to thrive. Right now, in this world there are so many that struggle with that most basic element. With the proper food and access to clean water many other things can be accomplished. There are those with such tremendous money and power that they alone could change the course of so many lives and yet they do not because they have lost their moral compass and have allowed greed to dominate their psyche. The third piece is education. Access to education that allows for those willing and able to rise above their circumstance. In America, the education focus is about where you have the most talent. In other countries, they recognize that diligence and hard work make a greater impact that just talent alone. I learned this as a dancer. I was never the most talented but I was the most determined. I watched dancers who had the most amazing raw talent but often they did not have the heart that knew how to work hard to get something accomplished. I believe that talent is important but not the end-all for accomplishing something in this life. It is time to turn and support those who do not quit. Those who keep trying and figure out things the hard way. Those are the people that will take problems in jobs later and instead of immediately knowing the answers, they will work to discover potential new ones.
