8/1/17 is the number 4. The 4 winds of change are blowing and brining you into a place where you know that because of all the impending change you will have to organize your life into a more solid enduring way. This number indicates that there can now be some difficult or unpleasant tasks in front of you so stability is paramount. Self-sacrifice may be needed to bring your awareness into a place of acceptance and grace. Those that are unwilling to adapt to a changing world are going to become more and more frustrated.
It is finally here, the eclipse month. We will see if important changes come from it. The general rule is that emotions will be high around the lunar eclipse on the 7th. It is time to open to new friends or take some time to play. Then Mercury turns retrograde August 12-September 5 in Virgo and Leo, bringing cleansing to self, your home/office, or you may just need a retreat before the coming autumn. The general rule regarding solar eclipses is that you do not initiate important new projects in the few days prior to the eclipse (August 21). It occurs at the end of Leo and the end of a sign represents endings, yet a solar eclipse represents new beginnings coming from deep within your soul. Beyond that, Venus is in Cancer most of the month and that can be very good for nurturing, family, and home projects. Mars is in Leo all month and the fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) are emphasized. That is not good for a fire season that is already in overwhelm and stressed, especially since “do it big” Jupiter is in Libra. Air signs represent wind. The combination of wind and fire is not good for the fire season. Saturn ends his retrograde cycle on the 25th. The god of boundaries and long-term planning is now in his final run through Sagittarius before moving into Capricorn near Winter Solstice. Cautious expansion is called for, or perhaps a conservative adventure.

Watch out for potential disruption early this month because “expect the unexpected” Uranus turns retrograde on Wednesday for the rest of the year. Because outer planets spend months retrograde, most astrologers pay attention during the days surrounding when a planet change directions. Uranus is associated with inventions, technology, revolutions and the internet. Perhaps you could use the next several months to do behind the scenes preparation for some innovative new service or product, or create/upgrade your website. For this week, go easy in traffic and give a wider berth to people who fly off the handle suddenly or have anger issues. On Friday, Jupiter squares Pluto, a challenge you have already seen this year. Right use of power and willingness to transform your philosophy and belief system is called for.

The Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio this morning at 8:02 AM when it enters Sagittarius. While the Moon is in Sagittarius from now until Thursday night, you will want to get out of that box and do non-routine, spontaneous experiences. This Moon position blends well with the fiery energy of the Leo Sun. You are also hungry to learn new things now. Even so, today is excellent for focusing on a particular mental interest or project, as it is fun to ferret out the facts and details. You may be a little perfectionistic now, which can narrow your focus a bit too much. You find it easy to reconcile your mental and emotional perceptions today, making it straightforward to come to decisions.

7/31/17 is the number 3. It is a good week to choose to stay positive in the chaos that is going to continue to grow over the next three weeks. The energy of the eclipses is going to make a difference in ways that none of us can completely see at the moment. So, it is a good idea to take care of yourself. Ground into your body and find what is of greatest value to you and your family. Find the joy in all the small places and share that happiness with enthusiasm to others. They probably are going to really need your shining light.
The Moon spends another full day in the sign of Scorpio. Seek out activities that are intensive and deeply fulfilling now, and you may take on an "all or nothing" approach. Venus enters Cancer today, where it will stay until August 26th. Venus in Cancer is nurturing, protective and self-protective, cautious, and fertile. You experience many emotional ups and downs in love under this influence due to increased sensitivity and impressionability. You are tender, romantic, and attached. Cancer love is dedicated, warm, and devoted. You show your love through devotion, care, and concern. You are affectionate and cuddly, and at your best when you feel safe and secure. 7/30/17 is the number 20. The number 2 seeks to end separateness and to bring union and peace between different entities. Our world is in a conflict about the ability to feel and use emotions wisely. Neptune in Pisces has opened the emotional Pandora’s box and there are people feeling things that they have never felt emotionally because the rising high tide of Neptune is bringing up deeply suppressed emotions and unhealed wounds that now demand that you pay attention to them and learn the difficult task of sorting reality from the past stories and projections that you have been harboring inside like a toxic sludge. The number 2 relates to the Moon card and the High Priestess Card in the Tarot. Notice that both are mysterious. The High Priestess requires the grounded stability of the earth to bring the intuitive knowing into alignment with the rules of earth and the laws of karma. The Moon card is associated with Pisces and reminds you that this is a difficult time to sort truth from illusion because of the murky dark quality of the hidden issues that are buried in the deep subconscious. If you are unable to take responsibility for what you create then there are hard consequences for those choices and actions.

What I have clearly learned in observing this process of life right now is that things buried in the subconscious linger, fester, and do not heal without the active participation of an open and conscious mind that is actively seeking harmony and inner peace. The dark emotions can be transformed into light but must be actively sought after in order to dispel and shine light on them as they hide in the darkest shadows of the subconscious mind.
