Numerology/Astrology for 8/18/17 - Plus Personal Blog

Numerology/Astrology for 8/18/17
8/18/17 is the number 9. I know everyone is feeling it. When is this cycle really over. The fatigue factor is very high and on the emotional scale. But as we creep towards the eclipse there is change in the air and this number 9 finally allows a broader perspective that is coalescing into a unified whole. Change is always inevitable and now more than ever. This number reminds us that there is always a line in the sand and many are feeling themselves step across that line finally. You can only hold a position so long before you are confronted by the reality that is directly in front of you. In many ways, there is a major change in position and the illusions are shattering into pieces.
The Moon spends the day in protective Cancer, and this will help you to seek out cozy atmospheres and familiar activities. Perhaps this can calm the chaos and bring a stillness to the insanity that is happening in the world. A quincunx between Venus in Cancer and Saturn in Sagittarius can present a dilemma or difficulties feeling truly at ease with others and making satisfying choices for entertainment or pleasure. This aspect can leave you feeling torn between pleasure and responsibility, and perhaps not able to fully appreciate or deal with either. Anxiety still threatens to overcome your senses and while you wish to share your affections or social urges, you may feel a hesitation to express almost anything because of personal inhibitions and emotional distancing.

I believe that education is the key to real progress and change. But not education that is slanted in one direction or perspective. I believe that education is inherently about looking at all the views and angles, the history of those perspectives, and the evolution of ideas as we move forward in time. Information is a sequence. Humanity made up stories to explain the great mysteries. They worked with the information that they had at the time. But they did not have all the information available to them. The human mind is in constant evolution. As we can cognate and perceive certain things and those ideas make sense only then can we evolve to the next level of information and teachings that our brain can assimilate. Learning history from the standpoint of being able to understand the way a culture and a people viewed reality at that time in history and then the decisions they made because of their beliefs and mythologies is essential for getting a well-rounded overview of history, a culture, and its people. At this time, we live in a world where many are not mentally disciplined to go deep. They think that a small bit of information is enough to get a “good enough” understanding of a complex issue but that is not true. As the famous phrase says, “A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.” Thinking that you have read one book and that book holds all the information you need to understand and know is a ridiculous assumption and is a form of “Spiritual Arrogance.” Do not let your mind become bored, complacent, and lulled into a place of believing it has all the answers. Let your mind expand and continue to read. Continue to talk to those who see the world as different than you. Recognize that there are many pathways but that eventually they will all lead to one place of love, acceptance, and compassion.
