Numerology/Astrology
for 3/14/16
3/14/16 is the number 8. The number 8 brings up the deep grief and
sadness that each of us has inside. Are you struggling with the internal places
that you have hidden away and that you do not love? Or are you sad for the anger
and hatred you see expressed in the world, now? I feel sad that in the 1960’s the
world was in a crisis of consciousness and I believed that we had moved beyond
that time. With dismay I have to admit that the perceived growth that I felt we
have accomplished we are still tragically working on. It saddens me to no end
to see that humanity has this difficult of a time accepting the obvious and
subtle differences in each other. It shows how insidious racism is and how much
others want to blame someone for their experience. The 8 of grief is expressing
itself in many ways so take a moment today to recognize the suffering and hurt
of even those doing things that hurt your heart. This can be a somewhat
complicated day with Mercury square Saturn and Venus square Mars, and each
aspect occurring in the signs of Pisces and Sagittarius. This brings out the
temperamental and sensitive parts of your nature. Yet also brings out the
desire to criticize, put down, and point the finger at others. How you choose
to handle situations can cause communication blocks that heat up already
volatile situations and it can cause people to lose it over what they feel
strongly about. This makes an already tense political situation more so and
humanity will feel like the arguments are competitions rather than
conversations. The results are unlikely to be friendly under these influences.
I ask for each of you to look for motivation to make small personal changes
rather than focus too heavily on all the differences that you want to use to
justify your position. The Moon continues to transit curious Gemini all day and
with Mercury nearing an opposition to Jupiter, you may feel like you are
reaching a turning point in your position or perspective. This is a time filled
with wanting to create expression through excesses and exaggerations of the
issues. Try to not let this energy get away and create more havoc in the world.

Blog
Times such as this have repeated throughout history. It is one of the reasons
that I have studied history so much. It is one of the ways to see the patterns
that humanity has constantly fought against, the patterns that have been tried,
the patterns that have failed, and the power of reflection to dissect what
worked, so you can try again in another way until we can get it right.
Unfortunately, the world is not such a history buff and instead we see patterns
reflected and repeated again and again. What is clear is that when a group is
suffering and the powers that be do not do anything to help create change for
betterment of that group then eventually there is a snap point and the
intensity of the emotion from that group lashes out and tries to blame someone
or something for their suffering. Often a group that has nothing to do with the
problem gets targeted. There is this feeling in humanity that someone needs to
be the culprit for their suffering. In those moments where there is a knee jerk
reaction to find those responsible for their suffering they often will choose a
leader that does not make the situation better but actually makes the situation
much worse. I hope that this round calmer minds and clearer heads will prevail.
That is my prayer for today.
