Numerology/Astrology for 3/8/16
3/8/16 is the number 2. The
number 2 asks you to look at both sides of your nature, the part you show the
world and the part you hide from others. That secret place that you are afraid
to show because of being judged or ridiculed. Listen to that voice inside and decide
if it is time to fully integrate some hidden part back into your conscious
awareness. Life is about learning to be whole in a dualistic world. Acceptance
is the key to the full integration your totality. Only once you love and accept
all that you are can you find peace. With the Sun opposing Jupiter today,
recent excesses can come to light, demanding a change or a re-shuffling of
priorities. Conflicting urges with regards to what you think you should do and
what you want to do can be an issue now. You may have been overestimating your
capabilities. Culminations or surprising changes in a project or ambition might
occur. There are two areas of life where you feel a special need to shine,
grow, and improve but these can be conflicting. It may be time to alter your
expectations. A total Solar Eclipse occurs tonight in the sign of Pisces. This
eclipse is about new beginnings when it comes to taking a leap of faith, your
beliefs, the acceptance of imperfections, imagination and intuition, selfless
service, and dreams. It's a time to take special note of your dreams, as well
as insights or thoughts/emotions that seem to come from "out of the
blue". These could be creatively inspiring. You notice the flaws in yourself
and others and can become very tense and irritable. If that happens you will
have to work hard to make the correction later. Health or work issues may force
you to pay attention to you life choices and priorities. Situations that test
your faith, or magnify your fears and doubts, may be part of the picture. For
some, a new "calling" will surface in the coming six months. A new
line of work that better matches your inner nature, desire to serve, or
emotional make-up may unfold in the months following this eclipse. You may
discover that you need more rest and relaxation or attention to your spiritual
nature than you are currently allowing in your life.

Quote
"It sometimes
takes time, and yes, there are times when the growing pains make you want to cancel
the whole damn human experience.
But from deep below it is emerging, her divine pressure, a cracking
of the surface
of the outgrown ideas of who you have taken yourself to be.
And you know that it is time, for something beautiful."

“It’s another week of twists, turns, ups, downs, and pole tilts,
personal as well as planetary. And while it may seem that I’m exaggerating, it’s
important to remember that we are still in the wake of seven powerful astral
storms, symbolized by the seven Uranus/Pluto squares, all of which challenged
and continue to challenge existing political, economic and social paradigms. As
was said by Yogi Berra: “It ain’t over ‘till it’s over.”
The current Uranus/Pluto cycle began in the 1960s with three
exact conjunctions that occurred from October 1965 to June 1966. In all major
astrological configurations, it’s important to note that the scope of influence
tends to extend well beyond the specific dates of exact contact. You only have
to look at the 60s to see the many movements for civil rights that began before
the Uranus/Pluto conjunction. Nevertheless, the civil rights movement gained
power during the mid-60s under the influence of those conjunctions, a power
that pulsed across the collective pond for many years, well into the 1970s—the
years most people think of as the “radical 60s” that substantially affected
individual psyches, as well as the collective psyche.
We are currently in a similar cycle of pulsations. The
crisis/action points of the exact conjunctions are behind us; they occurred
between June 2012 and March 2015, but we are still experiencing the power of
these new waves of change pounding on the shores of daily life. Those who study
astrological cycles know that Uranus/Pluto cycles signal periods of
revolutionary shift, when all the causes of social justice rise to the skin of
daily life and great strides can be made for the benefit of all. But we also
know that these periods of profound social shift trigger extreme reactions. The
real problems must be solved, but the solutions require a paradigm shift. More
than “something” has to give, and for many, that something is terrifying. All
we need to do is look at the political machinations of the current primary
races in the United States to see these reactions—fear, hate, and greed, to
name but a few—flagrantly filter through the candidates. Honestly, the
Republican candidates have degenerated into schoolyard bullying behavior that’s
just unseemly in candidates for the job of most powerful leader in the world.
But the gift of all the candidates is to bring into clear focus
the polarization that’s been building since the 60s. Trump, at one end, extols
the virtues of the uneducated who would like America to never change—even
though it’s been doing nothing but changing for the last nearly 60 years.
Bernie, on the other end, extols the virtues of Utopia, even though he knows it’s
impossible to shift the balance of power in time to satisfy the idealistic
expectations of his followers. Then there is Hillary, closest to the middle and
the most qualified for the job. And yet no one seems to trust her.
Recently I asked a friend why she didn’t trust Hillary, and she
replied that she just didn’t—couldn’t put her finger on it, but just had a
feeling. I didn’t argue with her, but here is what I thought: The Republicans
have spent the last nearly 25 years trying to besmirch Hillary’s reputation.
She has endured investigation after investigation. And for those too young to
remember, Hillary put the idea of a single-payer healthcare plan before
Congress in 1993, while she was First Lady, and Congress eviscerated her and
her plan. She withstood Ken Starr and Whitewater. She stood by her man and took
criticism from everyone on every side of the Monica argument. Every step of the
way, we were told not to trust her, indoctrinated by the constant barrage of
Republican propaganda. I’m not nominating her for Sainthood. I simply think she
is the most qualified for the job.
And by the way, this is not a column supporting Hillary; as
long-time readers know, I am a bleeding-heart Liberal and I will vote for
whichever Democrat gets the nomination. I simply respect Hillary because she
has an indefatigable spirit, coupled with an unbelievable capacity to endure
all the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune. By the way, I’m not
anti-Bernie, so please don’t bludgeon me with reasons why he is the best
choice; he and I are from the same tribe and speak the same dialect.
The ancient Maya were well aware that planetary patterns repeat
themselves, but they also understood that those astral cycles were never an
exact replication. Time unfolds along a spiral, passing through the same
cardinal points, but never through the same moment, which is why the current
moment is always the most creative. History also repeats itself, though never
as an exact replication, but as an iteration of what’s come before. Which is
why the current moment is always potent with the power for transformation.
For the last several weeks and continuing for the next several
weeks, Jupiter is transiting the degrees in Virgo that Uranus and Pluto
occupied during their three conjunctions in 1965-1966. History is repeating
itself, but not exactly, and the current polarization is an iteration of what’s
come before. Jupiter represents expansion, amplification, and all
philosophical, religious, and spiritual belief systems. Jupiter is quite active
as it moves through these degrees; it trines Pluto for the next several weeks,
stirring a desire for power but also a need for spiritual reorganization and
regeneration. Jupiter also opposes the Sun, a polarizing interaction that feeds
pretentiousness, extravagance and deceit. Hmmm…should be an interesting couple
of weeks.
As this current cycle plays out, pay attention to the issues
that make you want to polarize, and do your best to face the creative challenge
of this current moment by finding a way to respond rather than react. Each of
us has the power to transform the larger world by transforming our personal
world. Remember, a true revolution happens one heart at a time until enough
hearts unite in peace and compassion for each other.”
