10/22/18 is the number 7. The number 7 reminds us all that civilizations are based on agreed upon laws. The rules that define a civilization keep things in check. Structure is important to find the commonality that allows for civil discourse. What is happening now in the world is not civil, it is hateful. While everyone is entitled to their opinions, those in power are tearing down the basic rules of our society and that is the beginning of the end of the world that we have built with our ancestors’ blood, sweat, and tears. It is up to each of us to uphold those values regardless of those whose unresolved wounds and emotional trauma attempt to undermine everything that makes us unique and special in the world. History is filled with the stories of great civilizations being destroyed by such moments in time. Without the strength of inner center and moral truth, you become a potential pawn in the political deception. Find a strategy that will support love and compassion then stick with that.

There are plenty of concern around the uncertainties of life right now. While there is support in the starts to work through difficult things and to create some strategies that may help in the long run, in the short run there is a lot of tension happening.

There is a doubt cropping up inside as you wonder if your effectiveness is not cutting it right now. Guilt also arises for not facing certain truths and these feelings of discontent are going to lead you into some unexpected directions.

Mercury sextile Pluto today adding intensity to an already packed emotional situation. Those issues that keep arising are coming from deeper down. There is something rotten in the core and if you only look and deal with the surface you will not ever root out the real issue. It is time to investigate into those dark corners that you have been avoiding. Only deep inside leads to better choices. This can create conversations that are probing and meaningful. We are coming to one major milestone in the astrology and in the global shift in consciousness. I remember reading a book that was an interview with the Dalai Lama. The interviewer asked him what he felt about the movement around the Spotted Owls in California. He replied, “How can you expect a person to love an owl, a whale, nature, or others if he cannot first love himself?” Until our air, land, safety, food, water, and the nature that sustains us is threatened, why do we not move ahead of time. It is as if we need a crisis to get everyone on board. And why is that? Why can’t we do what is right, just because it is right? The answer is money and greed. Until we learn to eliminate poverty, those desperate people will claw and scrape at the land in order to survive. Until we abolish such rampant greed, we will not have peace because of those who are mentally ill and unstable in their incessant need to acquire more and more. It is the emptiness inside that makes such people desperately need to fill up something inside that was never given to them as children. It is time to cultivate more people whose primary goal is to help, save, support, and find answers to the most difficult questions. That is what will save this world. When we all work together for the common good. Not for profit. Not for fame or power. Not for money and prestige but just because it is the right thing to do. If that cannot be shifted in the global consciousness, we are doomed to destroy ourselves and this beautiful world.
