Numerology/Astrology for 1/28/17
1/28/17 is the number 3. With the
number 3, learning to look from first position, second position, and third
position will help tremendously in finding your center and looking out with an
informed and objective reality. Do not let the negative side of the number 3
pull you into indifference, or create a
lack of stamina and concentration. Mania is very possible with the number three
so be aware of mood swings and do exercise to try to minimize the stress levels
on your body and mind. It is time for you to grow up into who you came to be.
It is time to be that more mature energy that is willing to take responsibility
for your choices and actions. After all, you have to live with yourself at the
end of the day and so make decisions that allow you to not live in denial and
regret.
The Moon is in Aquarius all day.
Mars moves into Aries early today, where it will transit until March 9th. Mars
feels at home in Aries, and as Aries' ruler, is in a commanding position. This
may make your energy more spontaneous, forward-looking, and even courageous.
Your competitive spirit is heightened, and your goal is to win! You feel
active, single-minded, and confident. Instinctively, you want to find the
fastest way to get from point A to point B. The shadow side of Mars in Aries is
impatience, arrogance, impulsiveness, short-lived vision, unreflective ability
to see how your inside is manifesting your beliefs on the outside, and
self-centered myopic view of the world. However, Mars in Aries is authentic,
trail-blazing, enthusiastic, and straightforward. Although you can feel in the
inside that you are gearing up for standing up in a new way, the Sun forms a
semi-square to Saturn today, and there can be quite a bit of self-doubt coming
up finally and a conscious awareness that you are having difficulties seeing
the truth from the distortion. You are beginning to see how your actions have
been satisfying you ego, and they are becoming distasteful. Gratitude may not
be forthcoming right now, but this teaches you to look for the intrinsic
rewards for your actions at a much later date.

I just saw the movie Hidden Figures
and I was taken back to the days of my childhood where we had segregated
schools in Texas. They were supposed to be desegregated in 1956 because of a
ruling but as we know, old habits die hard. Texas was one of the southern
states to resist enacting those new rules in the system. I remember it
happening more in the 1970’s. That shows you how long it takes to make changes
in the public mind. My father (an engineer with Texas Instruments) wanted to
bring some engineers from back east to work in his office. He had to interview
them and one of them was an African American man. If you can believe, at that
time there was no hotel or motel that would allow him to stay as a guest. My
father (who was from Brooklyn) was appalled but needed to find him a place to
stay to do the interview. He contacted the African American churches and they
were kind enough to put him up with a family while he was here for the
interview. He got the job and then again, stayed with those same people until
he could get an apartment/home in Dallas. My father would never tolerate racism
in his presence. For that I am extremely proud. I was raised in a way where you
judged someone by the strength of their character and the moral actions that
they took in their life not by the color of their skin. I was very proud of
this country as to how far we have come. I want to continue to be proud.
