My Encounter with a Bear and a Coyote plus Numerology/Astrology for 12/10/14

Numerology/Astrology for 12/10/14
We are in the energy of the number 11. In general, all double-digit numbers are mastery numbers, though the number 11 has special significance. It is a doorway into other dimensions and levels of consciousness. It gives you a doorway to transcend something in your life that needs to be released or changed. What is difficult it that all double digits can regress and fall into the there low side, such as: the 11 becomes the number 2 of negative mind rather than the transcendental consciousness of the number 11. The number 11 can feel like you are trying to tame a wild horse, especially if you do not have discipline or a general overall capacity to deal with life’s challenges in the first place. Because the number 11 can become speculative it is important to avoid high-risk situations. If you are becoming nervous, fearful, hypersensitive or self-deprecating you are falling into the low aspect of the number 2. If you allow yourself to go higher you will find that beyond knocking yourself down you will find the part of yourself that has unparalleled spiritual awareness, magnetism, vision, grace, and inspiration. This is a considerably more diplomatic day than yesterday. The Moon is in demonstrative Leo all day, igniting your passions and stimulating your creative, romantic, and generous spirit. Mercury is parallel Venus, encouraging you to express yourself kindly and with heartfelt consideration. Venus enters Capricorn today, where it will transit until January 3rd. Venus in Capricorn is a cycle in which security and stability in your relationships is paramount. You are more cautious with your emotions, and somewhat skeptical of both your own feelings and others' expressions of affection. Longevity is important to you under this influence. There is a formality to Capricorn that can make personal expressions seem awkward and forced. However, this cycle offers you the opportunity to consider some of the practical issues of your relations and to work on making your partnerships work in the real world. A dose of realism in our personal lives can help you to feel more grounded and secure in the long run.

Quote
One of the hardest Lessons in life is to letting go. Whether it’s guilt, anger, love, loss or betrayal. Change is never easy. We fight to hold on and we fight to let go.

I picked this quote because as I was driving to Utah, I came across a rather intense scene. (One that I have never seen in real life before.). There was a life and death struggle happening between a bear and a coyote. It was pitch dark and foggy and I was driving slow (Thank God!) when I came upon the scene in the gloomy darkness. The bear was attempting to drag the coyote off the road and kill it. The coyote was yowling, growling and resisting. The bear was growling and attempting to drag the coyote into the ditch to kill it and eat it (I am assuming). The bear was also clearly aware of my car and did not want to get hit. The coyote was trying to get away at all costs, regardless of if it got hit by a car or not. There was such a struggle and fury and I had to look at the metaphor inside and outside myself. After all I am the bear and the wolf so what parts inside of me are in a life or death struggle? The bear represents responsibility and I do have an intense sense of duty and accountability in my life. You can also look at the Webster’s definition of “bear”, which means: To carry from one place to another, to move or transport, to cause to move by or with steady pressure. And the bear was doing all of that also. The bear is also the direction of the west and to pay attention to your dreams. The coyote is the trickster and the part of us that is the transformer.  In the Native American traditions, Coyote brings the seeds of life, so as to sew new growth upon the new world. It is a new birth symbol. The Shoshoni believed the Coyote as an indication of an ending. When you saw a Coyote your life was going to bring about a natural shift in the balance. It is the way-maker of new directions. So clearly there is a shift happening in my life and I hope that you can play with these metaphors within yourself also and see what it would mean for you at this time in your life. To me the Coyote is reminding me to be mindful rather than reactive in my actions. Be aware of those around you that are playing tricks on you or if you are playing a trick on yourself and falling into an old reactive pattern that will still get you in a situation (just like the coyote running in front of my car) that has a bad ending. This moment was for me recognizing a personal mistake, seeing its consequences and vowing to not make the same mistake twice.
