Channeling and How to Get the Pieces of the Puzzle

Hello again Bloggers

Just so I don't confuse anyone, this picture is from 1995. I know that my hair is longer now. I just felt like putting something different in.

I just finished teaching a class on Beginning Channeling in Salt Lake City. I am always so happy to teach and share the insights that allow for the opening of a souls’ consciousness. There is nothing more sacred to me than to see a soul open and become more aligned with their potential.

This group was slightly larger than usual and so I needed to modify how the class would flow in order to keep the energy moving and give people the opportunity to work with each other and have time to do the exercises and meditations.

Amazingly, it actually worked better and I was less exhausted in the end. I love how the universe creates change. Teaching for things like Channeling, is a constantly changing equation. Each group is different. Often groups come together in order to learn different things. Groups can sometimes have a past life connection. That awareness actually comes up in the class during meditations and exercises. It is always so fascinating when that happens.

This group was interesting.

The morning of the class the angels asked me to bring a particular CD on Tibetan Chanting. I looked all over my house for this CD and finally found it.

This CD is by Lama Tashi. It is Tibetan chants that have been passed down for thousands of years. These chants have tremendous power as they are designed to balance and open the person to the magical world of meditation and consciousness. So instead of doing my regular pattern for the first meditation in the class, the angels suddenly said I had to do the Lama Tashi CD.

Now, I love this CD but for most people this is an intense sound and it can be somewhat challenging for those who are not accustomed to this particular sound vibration. It hits you very low in the body.

Tibetan meditations are very grounding and they bring your awareness into the lower three chakras. Many Americans prefer to live in the upper chakras and so the lower vibratory patterns awaken damage and hidden pain locked within the lower aspects of the body. They lower chakras hold energy such as sexual guilt, fear, abandonment, and shame. Everyone usually has some experience with all these emotions. But they don’t necessarily want to be reminded of the past upsets.

I use these chants to keep my energy centers open and flowing. People laugh when they get in my car and they are hit by these very intense chants coming from my sound system. I find them very relaxing and they help me focus, especially when I have to drive over long distances to Los Angeles and Santa Barbara.

But now I am in the class and I am not sure what the reaction will be to this CD. Amazingly, everyone loved them!

But one person exploded open. The pain just began pouring out of her and she didn’t understand what was happening.

I knew what was happening. I could see the images of a past life flooding out of her.

I explained what I was seeing and everything I said made perfect sense to her in a biological, visceral way.

When I teach channeling, I try to help students see that whether the information they are receiving is literal or metaphorical doesn’t matter. What matters is if the person being read gets a gut reaction to what is being relayed.

Often, things that do not seem to make much sense to me make a lot of sense to them. As a channel, I may only get pieces of the puzzle, not the whole picture. Trauma can block images and it has been my experience that I tend to see the pictures immediately before the trauma, rather than the trauma itself. Then everything in my mind will suddenly go blank. Then the sequence of pictures will continue repeating and repeating, until I finally have the courage to say what it is that I am seeing.

I remember years ago, I was doing a Craniosacral Therapy session on a psychologist that was about 54 years old. Super nice guy, smart, open, and ready to flow into any healing modality.

In Cranial work, I am supposed to follow the body patterns and allow my conscious mind to stay alert to any messages that might be slipping in from my non-conscious mind. (In Cranial work they do not like to use the term “unconscious” as they do not believe that any part of you is unaware. You may choose to not pay attention to that aspect but it is still present and functioning.)

Anyway, I kept getting this image of this man as a small child about 6 years old. He was in a great house, curved marble staircase, and a fancy banister. This was a very large and opulent home. He was holding an eight-week-old puppy and proudly carrying it up the stairs to the second level balcony area.

Then the image would stop and start over again.

Well, this made no sense to me. It was a lovely picture but I did not see any problem or issue. Yet the image kept repeating over and over again.

I know that when this happens that I am supposed to say something to the client. But it didn’t seem to be any thing to process or go into. But the angels would not let me off the hook. The image kept repeating and repeating, incessantly. That is the angel’s way of getting my attention. It took me about fifteen minutes to get the courage to speak up. After all, this guy is a profession psychologist.

When I feel insecure I tend to say something like this to a client. “I am getting this picture and honestly, I don’t know what it means. I would like to tell you the image and if it means something to you then we will go with it. If it doesn’t, then we will go somewhere else.”

So I proceed to tell him the image and much to my shock, this big strong psychologist starts to sob. I mean really sob! Crying so intensely that it takes him a minute to compose himself. Eventually, he tells me that he had been trying to figure out for years why he was so angry with his older brother. In one moment my image invoked a deep seeded memory that he had completely forgotten about.

This was his version of the event.

He did come from a very wealthy, successful family. He was raised in that house with the curved marble staircase that went to a second level balcony. His brother had told him that puppies were like cats and that if you dropped them from a high place they would always land on their feet.

This man had wanted to prove that his new puppy was just as talented as his brothers’ cat and so he proceeded to go up the stairs to the second floor and dropped his eight-week-old puppy from the second floor onto the marble and killed his puppy instantly!

This was the reason he had harbored so much resentment and anger with his brother. He was angry at his brother but more angry at himself for believing his brother.

As he expressed the story, his body let go and began to unwind. Afterwards his posture was different and his pain was completely gone.

It is always amazing to me how much trauma we can store in our body and conveniently forget about.

I have learned more about myself from doing tremendous amounts of bodywork and meditation. It is incredible the vastness and complexity of the human experience. I try to tell anyone that if you feel stuck and don’t know what to do, just begin by getting massages, Craniosacral therapy, Reiki, deep tissue bodywork, Tragger work, acupressure, anything to awaken you to the hidden aspects within. You will be amazed.

People hesitate and have fear to go within because they are afraid to find out something bad about themselves. What I have seen in others and myself is that there really is nothing bad inside. Each person is magnificent and wondrous. The exploration within allows your strengths to reawaken and become more conscious. It allows you to remember, forgive, and heal the mistakes that you have made in the past. Everyone always feels better and more alive after they begin the journey. No one ever wants to go back to being numb and asleep. There is nothing more fantastic than being fully alive and present on this earth. It is an amazing journey that everyone has the ability to do.

So, as this holiday season begins, give yourself a gift and a New Year’s resolution of exploring the mystery within you. Give yourself a gift of a massage or some form of healing work. Then make a promise to continue to do something for you at least once a month for a year. You will become a happier, healthier, and more vitally alive person.
